So do you fancy a challenge, wish to give something back and help out others whilst learning and developing new skills. Volunteering is a fabulous way of developing your CV and gaining great references.

The First Step Drop-In Centre which is Jennymount’s outreach ministry and runs from our premesis at 114-116 York Road currently require volunteers to help out in a number of areas

Cafe - Volunteers are required for lunch time slots from 12-1.30 every day. Duties can include serving customers, cooking or simply washing dishes! All volunteers get their pick of a free lunch from our menu. Volunteers at all other times are also very welcome, please just get in touch.

Youth Work* - We currently require volunteers to help out with our daily youth work in the afternoons from 3.00 to 5.00 and on a Firday evening from 8.00 to 11.00pm. You will get to help out with running our youth programes and responsibilities will be designed around experiences and personal skills.

Office - Our priority at present in the office is to have a volunteer fundraiser who would take on sourcing and applying for funding as well as organising fundraiing events.
We also require volunteers to assist with the administration of the building. All training
is provided.
