We all ask the big questions: who am I, what is my purpose in life, where does life come from? Christianity Explored is a great place to find out what the Christian faith has to say on these issues.” - Jonathan Edwards, Olympic Triple-Jumper

Developed over 10 years, Christianity Explored is an informal course for people who’d like to investigate Christianity, or just brush up on the basics. It explores who Jesus was, what his aims were, and what it means to follow him. You’re not asked to pray, sing, or read aloud, and you can ask any question you like. Or, if you prefer, you can come along and simply listen.

Based around Mark’s Gospel, the Christianity Explored course encourages people to explore the Bible for themselves to discover who Jesus is, why he came and what he demands of those who want to follow him. Christianity Explored introduces people to the person of Christ as he walks off the pages in Mark’s Gospel, and provides the information they need to choose to follow Christ in the life of “obedience that comes from faith” (Romans 1:5). The course covers the following topics:

Week 1: Introduction
Week 2: The Bible
Week 3: Jesus - Who Is He?
Week 4: Jesus - Why Did He Come?
Week 5: Jesus - His Death
Week 6: What is Grace?
Week 7: Jesus - His Resurrection
Week 8: What Is A Christian?
Week 9: Continuing as a Christian
Week 10: Choices

Developed over ten years at All Souls Church, Langham Place in London, Christianity Explored faithfully presents the Bible’s teaching on sin, judgement, wrath and hell so that the wonder of God’s grace can be understood. The course is run in two parts. The talk is given as part of the Sunday evening service and then discussed at the Bible study on Thursday night to allow participants to ask any question that is important to them.
